  • Kristie
    Kristie Cotter

My name is Kristie Cotter. I have been working at BCAC full time since 2005 as a veterinary assistant. I have lived in Mtn. Home most of my life. I graduated high school here in 1994 and received an Associate of Arts degree from ASU in 1997.

I currently have 4 cats & 1 dog of my own and love working with animals.

  • Samantha
    Samantha Walker

My name is Samantha Walker. I have been in the veterinary field since 2005 and started at BCAC in 2015. I love animals of all kinds very much and caring for them on a daily basis is wonderful. I also enjoy horse showing, barrel racing, and team roping with my husband, Tom. I hope you enjoy this clinic, the doctors and the staff as much as I do.

  • Bethany
    Bethany Drake

My name is Bethany Drake. I started working at Baxter County Animal Clinic in 2016 as a kennel tech and eventually moved to working the front desk.  I have always loved working with animals and received my Bachelor's in Animal Science from North Carolina State University in 2006.  My husband and I met when we were both working for the SPCA in Raleigh, NC.  After getting married, my husband joined the Army, which took us from NC to NY to MO and then to TX.  After spending 8 years moving wherever the Army wanted us, we decided it was time to settle down.  My husband is from Mountain Home and it seemed like the perfect place to raise our boys.  When I'm not working, I spend time with my husband and two sons, who luckily all love animals as much as I do.  In my spare time, I enjoy running, usually with my dog, and have completed several races including 5ks, 10ks, and half marathons.

  • Karen
    Karen Hoeppner

My name is Karen Hoeppner.  I started working in 2015.  I work the kennel on weekends and holidays.  I have 3 dogs and 2 cats of my own and they are spoiled rotten.  When your furbabies are with us, I treat them and love them like I would my own furbabies.  I've got the BEST JOB EVER!

  • Lily
    Lily Shedenhelm

Lily is our official door greeter!  She wants to make sure that everyone who enters the clinic feels welcome.  When she's not greeting clients and patients in the lobby, she is assisting Dr. Shedenhelm with her appointments.  In her off time, Lily loves cuddling and playing with her three little girls at home.

  • Goblin
    Goblin Shedenhelm

Goblin has been our clinic cat since 2021. She was brought to us by the Humane Society. She was sick, and as Dr. Shedenhelm treated her to full health, we all fell in love with her and adopted her. You will most likely find her roaming the hallway or running to the back. When no one is looking, she is comforting your pets when they are here for surgery or hospitalizations (and maybe stealing their food). Outside of office hours, she is sure to be on the lookout for any suspicious overnight activity.
